Exhibition Title: “A Decade Remembering Those We Lost”
Presented by: Day of the Dead Art Department.
As part of our celebration, we will present a special exhibition featuring the work of visual artist Philippe Vincent.
“A Decade Remembering Those We Lost” is a retrospective collection of artwork presented throughout the past ten years of the festival. Each work reflects our commitment to honouring different groups of people and bringing their stories, memories, and contributions into the heart of our community.
Exhibition Title: “Lives Interrupted” Ofrenda Exhibition.
In honour of women who have suffered gender-based violence
This altar is a space of remembrance and reflection, honouring women whose lives have been affected or lost because of gender-based violence. Through art, memory, and the traditions of Día de los Muertos, we create a place where their lives are remembered and their stories are not forgotten.

Exhibition Title: The Way to the Mictlan, the Aztec underworld. Series 2.
Presented by: The Art Department of the Day of the Dead Festival, in collaboration with the students of the Fine Arts Program at the Ottawa School of Art
“Tepetl Monamictlan”: Where the Mountains Meet.
This exhibition continues the journey through the nine levels of Mictlan, the Aztec underworld where souls must overcome challenges before reaching their final rest.
Tepetl Monamictlan, “Place Where the Mountains Meet,” is a dangerous passage where two immense mountains continuously crash together. Through traditional and contemporary art, artists explore this realm as a symbol of struggle, resilience, and transformation.
